During 2013, Mor Çatı volunteer social workers, pyschologists and lawyers provided social, pyschological and legal assistance to abused women and their children via phone, e-mail or face to face interviews. Every weekday except Tuesdays, Mor Çatı Women‟s Shelter Foundation provided them the support they needed to escape violence and abuse.
Throughout 2012, same as before that year, we have sustained our empowerment by keeping up with solidarity with women. 1300 interviews / contacts with 964 women who applied to Solidarity Center have been accomplished either through phone, e-mail or in-person appointments.
Causes and consequences of violence against women and women killings (femicide) in Turkey have been voiced repeatedly by women’s organizations for many years.
