CEDAW, the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, is one of the eight fundamental conventions of the UN and aims at gender equality. It is one of the most useful tools to promote women’s human rights among the countries party to the convention at the UN level.
The 8th Periodic Shadow Report prepared by the Turkish CEDAW Civil Society Executive Board, which we are in as Mor Çatı, was presented to the United Nations CEDAW Committee in July 2021.
